Don't miss the NYPD Police Museum!

My wife and I had business in NYC April 20, 2012 as we do frequently. When we have time, we always try and visit, or tour, or eat someplace different that interests us, while we are there.

NYC has an incredible number of museums, monuments, statutes, views, and of course, food choices that can keep one busy for years.

We usually walk all we can, including from Brooklyn across the bridge and up to our appointment on 15th St. The subway is a great way to get around and they have done a good job stategically locating the routes and stations to get around.

Friday we visited the NYPD Police Museum about 4 blocks south of area of the South Street Seaport where the ships are moored and where all the restaurants are on Pier 17.

The museum is at 100 Old Slip St. at Water St. and is a former Precinct House, #1, I believe.

The fee is $5.00 for seniors.

The info about how the NYPD is protecting the city, you & I also, from the bad guys is very impressive.

I'll write on other places the next time.
